About Pinna Co Floral Design | Michigan Wedding Florist

Flowers are not only beautiful, they’re incredible works of art found in nature. I love to express my passion for nature through floristry. 

I have a degree in biology  and I tend to draw inspiration from that. I’m a proud member of the Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians. In fact, the Pinna Co logo showing a crane holding a fern illustrates the harmony of my business and background. 

In my tribe, cranes symbolize leadership and direction. The fern, a pinnate leaf, ties in my background in biology. Each tiny leaflet of a fern is called a pinna, which, eventually, became my daughter’s- and my business’- name.
